Kevin Spacey: A Bumpy Start
Kevin Spacey was born Kevin Fowler. His mother was a secretary and his father a technical writer. As a child he was prone to somewhat difficult misbehavior. He studied in his youth at the Northridge Military Academy. Later when he was expelled, he studied in the Chatsworth high school. Drama, he studied at the Juilliard School in New York City. At the beginning of his stage career he was drawn to standup comedy and during his school years he made his living as a standup comedian at bowling alley talent contests.
Kevin Spacey Excels as a Character Actor
As Kevin’s acting career developed, he became known as an exceptionally skilled character actor. As he ascended the ranks of actors, he came to be playing more and more of the role of the chief villain. This was Kevin’s realm. In order to do justice to the role, the villain needs a most skilled actor who can truly convey the powerful character of the villain. Kevin was soon recognized as a perfect actor for such roles and he has starred in several famous films as the evil villain. Superman fans will recall that it was Kevin Spacey who played the role of Lex Luthor in the film Superman Returns. In fact, Kevin even won the academy award of best supporting actor for his acting in the movie The Usual Suspects where he played the role of Roger Kint. He also won the award for best villain for playing John Doe in the movie Se7en.
Kevin Spacey in 21
The much awaited movie 21 which tells the story of six MIT students who decide to learn card counting techniques and take on Las Vegas subsequently winning millions of dollars. In this film, Kevin Spacey plays the role of Mickey Rosa alongside Kate Bosworth. Another film that is about to see air is the new Superman film; The Man of Steel. In this movie Kevin Spacey will again be playing alongside Kate Bosworth. This time, Spacey will play the role of Lex Luthor – Superman’s nemesis.
